My  name is Catherine Donovan and I am an Associate with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. I offer specialized one-on-one reading instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Each lesson is specifically designed for the individual student's needs. Orton-Gillingham is a multi-sensory, language based, structured,  cumulative, cognitive, and flexible instructional approach used to teach a student struggling with letter/sound relationships, reading, spelling and/or handwriting. 

While fifteen to twenty percent of children struggle with reading it has been difficult to assess the help they need in the Sugar Hill area. Dyslexia has affected me personally, and has driven me to find a way to help others in our area and increase access to this scientifically proven teaching method. I look forward to working with your children to help them crack the code!
